A private chef is a member of the staff that will prepare all the meals for the principals and their family, based on their taste, culture and dietary restrictions. Likewise, the private chef will cook for events and dinner parties that the Principals may organize. Private chefs’ duties may include but are not restricted to:
A Private Chef provides a bespoke culinary experience, ranging from daily family meals to high-end event catering. Unlike a Cook, a Private Chef is typically classically trained and manages the entire kitchen operation, including menu design, nutritional planning, and sourcing from specialist suppliers.
Standard Schedule: 7am – 7pm, Monday to Friday/Saturday
UK (National): From £1,000 – £1,500+ net per week
London: From £1,200 – £1,800+ net per week
Overseas: From £1,500 – £2,500+ net per week
Premium Expertise: Chefs with Michelin-star backgrounds or those specializing in specific health-led cuisines (e.g., Ayurvedic, Anti-inflammatory, or Performance Nutrition) typically command rates at the top end of these ranges.
