A Nanny is responsible for all aspects of care and childcare. Nanny duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • Safeguarding and physical care of children
  • Communicate with parents on all aspects of your children’s care
  • Ensure your children have a nutritious and well balanced lifestyle
  • Plan trips and excursions with children, outings and special occasions always pre agreed with parents
  • Provide activities that support your children’s development following an early years curriculum
  • Prepare, sterilise and clean baby bottles + feeding equipment
  • Change nappies
  • Bottle feeding
  • Plan and cook balanced, healthy and nutritious meals adapted to the age of the children
  • Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
  • Help with Weaning process
  • Potty train the children
  • Care for the children when they are ill and require medicine agreed in advance
  • Bath babies and supervise the bath time with older children
  • Dressing children with appropriate clothes / uniform
  • Children Laundry

Nannies Salary Expectations

Full Time Live in Nanny (7am to 7pm – Monday to Friday – 2 nights of babysitting per week)

UK : From £400 + net per week (depending on Experience)

Overseas : From £550 + net per week (depending on Experience)

A Governess is responsible for the education of the children in her care. A Governess duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • school entrance exam preparation
  • exam support
  • daily homework supervision
  • Accompany the children on the school run
  • Ensure correct etiquette is adhered to at all times
  • take care of the educational needs of children
  • tailor an adapted curriculum to meet the children’s educational needs

Governesses Salary Expectations

Full Time Live in Governess (7am to 7pm – Monday to Friday)

A Maternity Nurse usually lives-in and is on duty 24 hours a day up to six days a week. However it is important that your Maternity Nurse is allowed to have sufficient rest to enable her to catch up on her own sleep. That will ensure that she is well enough to give adequate care while she is looking after your newborn. Maternity Nurse duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • All duties relating to the care of mother and baby during those first crucial weeks following the birth
  • Care of the baby’s clothes and equipment
  • Encourage and help with breastfeeding if required
  • Preparation and sterilisation of bottles
  • Night feeds
  • Provision of advice on all sorts of baby information
  • Help and advice on getting the baby into a routine
  • Implement feeding and sleeping routine
  • Washing of baby items
  • Keep the nursery and feeding equipment clean and tidy

Maternity Nurses  Salary Expectations:

Full Time Live in Maternity Nurse (24/6)

UK : From £200 + gross per day (depending on Experience – most Maternity Nurses are self employed)

Overseas : From £ 250 + gross per day (depending on Experience)

A Housekeeper is a domestic service professional who is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of a private household. Housekeeper duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • Cleaning the interior of the home and the immediate areas outside (patios, porches, decks, walks)
  • Kitchen maintenance – dishes, cupboards, pantry, counters and floors.
  • Sort the washing
  • Load and unload the washing machine
  • Beware to use the right temperature depending on types of fabric
  • Hand-washing or taking to Dry Cleaner delicate clothes
  • Bed making, routine bedding & linen changes
  • Meal Preparation & Service
  • Assist with the cooking and serving for special events
  • Grocery shopping and other household errands
  • Keep the household supplies fully stocked
  • Receive & serve guests
  • Pet care
  • Plant care (household)
  • Silver / Marble Polishing
  • Organisation: may rotate seasonal clothing in closets, maintain pantry and routinely clear out of date and spoiled items.
  • House-sitting while the employer is away
  • Keep all areas of the home clean and tidy including dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning, sweeping and mopping

Housekeepers/Housekeeper Cooks salary expectations

Part time or Full time Live out : £10 to £13 net per hour

Full Time Live in Nanny (7am to 7pm – Monday to Friday)

UK : From £450 + net per week (depending on Experience)

Overseas : From £550 + net per week (depending on Experience)

A House Manager, sometimes also known as a Major D’omo, is responsible for the management of a formal or multi-staffed household of all sizes. The profile of a House Manager could vary depending on the specific needs of the household and Principal. Most of House Managers will usually have either worked previously in similar positions within fully staffed households or possibly may have been a Butler or family Personal Assistant. A House Manager should be highly educated. House Manager duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • Hiring, Training and overseeing the duties and schedules of domestic staff
  • day-to-day management of home and its staff
  • Planning and directing special events of the Household
  • Managing travel arrangements
  • Managing the household calendar
  • Bookkeeping
  • Accounting tasks
  • Ensuring the security of the household.
  • Running household and personal errands
  • Work closely with the Family Office

House Manager’s salary expectations:

Full Time Live in House Manager  (7am to 7pm – Monday to Friday/Saturday)

UK / Overseas: From £ Salary ranges from £850 – £1600 net per week plus benefits which may include fully paid housing, car, Health insurance, and clothing allowance or others.

A Butler is a senior manager within a formal or multi-staffed household. In great houses, the household is sometimes divided into departments with the butler in charge of the dining room, wine cellar, and pantry. A Butler has professional training and formal experience in either private households or prestigious hotels. Butler duties may include but are not restricted to:

  • Receiving Household guests on behalf of the Principal / Family
  • Running the household and personal errands for the Principal
  • Managing suppliers
  • Making travel arrangements for the Principal and Family or other Household guests
  • security maintenance
  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and drinks
  • Setting the table for formal meals
  • Creating and maintaining household budgets
  • Wine cellar management
  • Scheduling maintenance of estate property

Butler’s salary expectations

Full Time Live in Butler  (7am to 7pm – Monday to Friday/Saturday)

UK / Overseas: From £ Salary ranges from £850 – £1600 net per week plus benefits which may include fully paid housing, car, Health insurance, and clothing allowance or others.

A Domestic Couple is made up of two individuals who work together as a team providing domestic and personal service for a household on a daily basis. They usually work 5 to 6 days per week depending on the Principal’s or the Principal’s family needs. Domestic Couple positions are mostly Live-in roles. Domestic Couple duties may include but are not restricted to:

A chef is a highly trained and skilled professional cook. Chefs can receive both formal training from an institution, as well as through apprenticeship with an experienced chef. Private Chefs duties include but are not restricted to:

  • Creating a bespoke meal plan based on family’s favourite dishes
  • Cooking for the family simplistic and nutritious dishes
  • Preparing fine dining for guests and dinner parties
  • General grocery shopping
  • Putting food away
  • Storing the food bought properly (fridge, freezer, pantries …)
  • Cleaning up and sanitizing kitchen utensils
  • Paying attention to Principal and Principal’s family’s needs
  • Keeping up on new culinary techniques and on general nutritional information

Private Chefs Salary expectations

Full Time Live in Private chef (10 hours per day – Monday to Friday)

UK : From £500+ net per week (depending on Experience)

Overseas : From £700+ net per week (depending on Experience)
